Environmental Transformation

Through partnerships with SonLight Power and Solarius, GIFT is working to empower our NGO partners with clean, renewable energy. Many of our current partner organizations have no reliable access to electricity, so investing in solar or wind energy is critical in expanding their missions.

GIFT -- through the integration of the Honey For Haiti organization and our engagement with Arpin Trust -- has secured funding commitments to advance renewable energy globally. Plans are underway for GIFT to deploy a 20 kW solar array and storage system system at Maison L'Arc-en-Ciel Orphanage in Haiti and a 6 kW solar array and storage system at Father Fred's Ecogenesis training center in the Philippines. Installations are slated to begin in 2021, and these systems will support both operations with eco-friendly, sustainable income generation.

GIFT helps to empower our partner organizations to create their own source of income through practical means, including agriculture and livestock. One of the major limitations to the expansion of these income-generating activities is limited access to electricity. GIFT's solar arrays will allow our partners to create the power they need to make money while saving thousands annually on fuel and energy costs.

This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Global Institute for Transformation. Get in touch with any questions about how you can Volunteer Your Time today.
