GIFT supports farming in Haiti, Malawi and Philippines, and we've specialized in advancing Orange Flesh Sweet Potatoes and their Edible Leves. (For more information, please refer to the Power of the Sweet Potato in this website)
GIFT has partnered with the Poznan Supercomputing & Networking Center, Poland, to bring smart farming technology to poor farmers globally, and we're now seeking collaborators who can help educate smallholder famers on this IT.
We've deployed Solar & Storage in Philippines and have a similar deployment in progress in Haiti. We've also provided solar irrigation in Philippines to support regenerative farming.
GIFT has helped the global poor develop businesses including sewing, soap manufacturing and rabbit breeding. (Note: the photo above includes dresses sewn and soap manufactured by women undergoing training in Malawi; in the background is a library GIFT funded to further support the community education and skills development,)
Of particular note, GIFT introduced an internet-enabled video projector to provide on-line education in trades as well as general courseware for overall community education. It was after learning the sewing trade that the women used the internet courseware to learn how to manufacture soap.
