Ecogenesis promotes a holistic and integrative spirituality, and a mission that focuses on the care of the environment.
PROJECTS
Ecogenesis funds small-scale projects of those in their target group: women and youth, indigenous people, churches & schools, and farmers. The organization maintains a model “backyard” permaculture-designed garden and farm for demonstration purposes, as well as conducting retreats, seminars and workshops of various themes and topics related to ecology and the environment; stewardship and the care of the Earth; spirituality and prayer; community organizing and community building; and, leadership training and development.

RENEWABLE ENERGY
Through the support of GIFT, Ecogenesis is now in the process of installing an 8kW solar energy array on their campus in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. This off-grid solar array will empower Ecogenesis to expand their services to the local community, as well as broaden their income-generating opportunities.
SWEET POTATO SMART FARMING
Ecogenesis was encouraged and enabled by Global Institute For Transformation (GIFT) to grow sweet potatoes, a crop known for its contributions to addressing hunger and poverty. Through propagation, orange-fleshed sweet potatoes plants produce a dual crop of highly nutritious potatoes and edible leaves.
From an ecological perspective, sweet potatoes have the lowest water footprint and highest nutritional content in both classes of pulses and vegetables.
